A lot of us have been battling with mental health issues all by ourselves for a long time now. With the pandemic locking us inside our homes and changing the whole world, mental wellbeing has suffered tremendously. So, if you need someone to talk to but don’t know where to start, online therapy is the way to go. And one such platform offering online therapy sessions is Good Lives.

What is Good Lives?

online therapy

Started by Lawrance Lovedeep and Sakshi Shah, Good Lives is a platform that guides you to the right therapists. Their main aim is to destigmatise the talk and behaviour around mental health. They wish to improve the general quality of life by providing affordable online therapy sessions.

“Therapy is often seen as an expensive way to manage mental health. We are happy to spend on a general physician that gives us medicines in 10 minutes, whereas we refuse to spend the same amount on our mental health for a dedicated time of an hour”, says Lawrance.

Good Lives provides online therapy sessions for anyone seeking help. From people dealing with stress to gender identity issues, the platform provides several kinds of experts to guide you. You can try one free consultation before any further sessions to help you decide what’s best for you. Currently, therapy is available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Assamese, and Urdu at Good Lives. The platform also provides some really fun ways to express yourself than just through words. It offers music, expressive arts, cognitive behavioural therapy, and much more to heal and cope better.

Free Covid anxiety relief sessions

Apart from regular online therapy, the founders have also initiated free Covid anxiety relief sessions. The campaign began on April 28, 2021, to provide free therapy for people with anxiety due to the pandemic. The initiative came into existence after the duo encountered people with emotional issues in their personal life, and they realised how essential it was to have someone you can share your problems with. That’s when they decided to make mental health services affordable and accessible across the globe. It allows one to get a personal one-on-one consultation with some of the best therapists and experts. So far, they have provided free sessions to more than 150 people in English, Hindi, and Tamil. The best part is that the sessions aren’t limited to India, they are also available in UK, Spain, Nigeria, the US, and other countries.

Mental health services at Good Lives

Good Lives offers consultation and therapy services via calls, live sessions, workshops, webinars, podcasts, and courses. They also offer self-help tests to understand and analyse your emotions. It is a completely confidential platform and encourages individuals to talk instead of suffering in silence. The sessions are held by professionals and experts and are priced at the bare minimum. So, if you know someone who needs to talk, Good Lives is just a click away to lend a helping hand.
