Think about it. If you genuinely like someone, would you try to change these basics about them? No, right? You would give an opinion when asked but not say something you know might offend them for no good reason. So, if you hear a man telling his wife to wipe off her lipstick or change how she dresses, please know that you have spotted an overgrown bully in its natural habitat.

He insults her and then laughs about it

Laughing at a bad joke now and then is okay, we all do it. But making your wife, or just wives in general, the butt of every joke on your lame WhatsApp group is mean and resentful. Generally, this type of man, you know the kind who doesn’t deserve a loving, caring wife, can be found complaining about his terrible life to all his wife-hating friends. He thinks his wife sits at home all day, watching TV and spending his money, instead of learning how to read his mind and become a master chef overnight. This man will also pick up random things about her and laugh about them in public, even if it was earlier shared in a private moment between husband and wife.

He uses her insecurities against her

One of the most obvious signs of a husband who doesn’t love his wife anymore is using her insecurities against her. If a woman in such a marriage has body image issues or is forced to be a stay-at-home mom, her husband will use that as ammo against her. You know, things like, “Yeh kya kaam karegi? Isko sirf khaana banaana aata hai” or “Patli kyun nahi ho rahi? Kitna khaati hai saara din” or “Bachche bigad rahe hain kyunki inki maa dekhti hi nahi”. All this he will say while stroking his own pot belly, not knowing what class his child is in, and ordering another parantha from the kitchen.
