Today, I came across a meme that said we are just four months away from 2025. The post was captioned, “Let that sink in”, and I suggest you do the same. But the adjacent slide also said, “Life mein kuch bhi ho, mauj masti nahi rukni chahiye”. So, I’m here to do my favourite thing — watch and recommend upcoming OTT releases to you. At least you can binge-watch entertaining movies and web series the next month. I’d also recommend sleeping on your problems after that, starting yet another movie and doing this on repeat!

September is all about sass, and so are the OTT releases this month. Here are the latest OTT releases for September 2024 to add nonstop fun and thrill to your life.

1. Call Me Bae

If you’re fascinated by fashion and humour, you should Call Me Bae… I mean you should watch this series. The star cast includes Ananya Panday, the real ‘bae‘ of the series, alongside Vir Das, Varun Sood, Lisa Mishra, Vihaan Samat and others. The story portrays Bella’s riches-to-rags journey for whom even the “middle class would be an upgrade”.

2. Tanaav S2

Thriller fans, assemble! The second season of Tanaav is finally here to deliver more action and drama. Directed by Sudhir Mishra and Sachin Krishn, the series is an adaptation of an Israeli show, Fauda. As Fareed Mir, aka Al Damishq, an ISIS-trained man, returns from Syria to take revenge, India is under attack and terrorised. Tanaav, living up to its name, will leave you tensed and restless with each suspense-filled minute. The series stars Sahiba Bali, Manav Vij, Rajat Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan, Satyadeep Misra, and Shashank Arora. Of all the September 2024 OTT releases, Tanaav is a must-watch.

3. Emily in Paris S4 Part 2

Emily is back with a bang with the second part of her life’s fourth season. But this time, she’s all about revenge, chaos, adventure, humour, and fashion! The series is packed with lots of drama, heartwarming romance and witty comedy, making it one of the best OTT releases to kill boredom.

4. Sector 36

Imagine this — hundreds of children are disappearing because a serial killer is on the loose, wandering on the streets of Delhi’s Sector 36. 5. Agatha All Along

If supernatural stories excite you, this mini-series based on a Marvel comic character, Agatha Harkness, is for you. Following the events of WandaVision, Agatha is stuck in Westview, New Jersey. A teen who wishes to face the trials of the Witches’ Road helps Agatha escape. She joins the teen on the Witches’ Road trials to reclaim her magic and discover his true intentions. Starring Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza, among other prominent figures, the show will take you through exciting twists and turns.

6. Thalavan

Want to see thrill and action in its purest form? Jis Joy, the director of Thalavan, is here to add some spice to your life! The story showcases the inside workings of a local police department. Jayashankar, a senior cop for 15 years, gets transferred five times in his career. No criminal can escape his short temper and brutality, making him akin to a villain. One day, when a junior cop shows up, it creates hierarchical complexities. Biju Menon and Asif Ali’s on-screen cold war sets the stage for solid action.

7. Berlin

It’s a matter of national security and you can’t let your nation down. Berlin sets the premise of post-Cold War India inviting the Russian President. It isn’t going to be a cakewalk as someone is conspiring to assassinate him. The Indian intelligence agency has captured a deaf-mute man who is accused of being a foreign spy. They also hire a sign language expert to interrogate the accused. The case becomes too complicated when the expert comes into the circle of suspicion. Will the President be assassinated or will the truth save him? Starring Aparshakti Khurana, Ishwak Singh and Rahul Bose, Berlin will be a hit!

8. Jatt & Juliet 3

“Punjabi aa gaye Chaupal oye” is what my heart is screaming because Jatt & Juliet 3 is all set to be on the list of exciting September 2024 OTT releases. The movie caused a massive laughter riot in June when it was released in theatres. Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa as two police officers heading to London for a mission, the movie is a classic rom-com. The mission gets more complicated than expected. But one thing is certain — their wit banter will leave you laughing as you simultaneously root for their love story.
