We have officially hit the halfway mark to 2022. We have already seen some good OTT releases in the first half of the year. As we transition into the second half, platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, and others are offering even better content. June is filled with superheroes, supernatural beings, thrills, and much more. So, here are eight OTT releases you need to add to your June watchlist.

1. 9 Hours

A Telugu language action-crime series, 9 Hours stars Taraka Ratna, Ajay and Vinod Kumar among others. When three prisoners venture out of the prison to conduct their next robbery, they are faced with a challenge — getting back into their cells before the next roll call.

2. Jana Gana Mana

Jana Gana Mana is a legal thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead roles. A cop and a criminal come face-to-face about their notions of the criminal system. Usually, the law and justice are on the same team, until they are not. Jana Gana Mana is a socio-political thriller with two people in the centre with opposing views and justice.

3. The Boys Season 3

We all love superheroes who save the world. But what about the superheroes who are wreaking havoc? A group of vigilantes band together to take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their superpowers. In the latest season, The Boys are back at it to deal with threats to humanity.

4. Aashiqana

Uptight cop Yashvardhan and the feisty Chikki’s world collide when they are brought together by a serial killer. This thriller-romance series stars Zayn Ibad Khan and Khushi Dubey in the lead roles.

5. Ms Marvel

We get our first-ever Muslim superhero in Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel. Khan is a huge fan of Captain Marvel and wants to be like her. She is a bit of a misfit at her school. But things get interesting when she gains superpowers similar to her idol Captain Marvel. The series stars Iman Vellani in the titular role. This June OTT release will be part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

6. First Kill

What happens when a vampire falls in love with a vampire hunter? Watch First Kill to find out. For teenagers Juliette and Calliope, things take an exciting turn when they become more than just prey and predator. While Juliette is a vampire heiress who should be at Calliope’s throat, Cal is a vampire hunter who should be killing Juliette. But with the both of them getting mixed up in a bit of romance, there’ll be a lot of explaining to do. The sapphic series is based on a short story by V.E. Schwab.

7. Spiderhead

Starring Chris Hemsworth in the lead role, Spiderhead is a science fiction film based on a dystopian short story by George Saunders. In the near future, inmates of a penitentiary are offered the chance to volunteer as medical subjects to shorten their sentences. But soon, a prisoner starts questioning the purpose of the emotion controlling drugs he is being subjected to.

8. Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area

The Korean adaptation of the Spanish show that got global recognition, this series is about a new heist that is set to happen in a unified Korea. Thieves overtake the mint of a unified Korea, trapping hostages inside. The police must do everything in their power to stop the thieves as well as the shadowy mastermind behind the heist. The series is directed by Kim Hong-sun and stars Yoo Ji-Tae as The Professor and Park Hae-Soo as Berlin. This is one June OTT release to look forward to.
