As summer reaches its peak, we have some hot releases dropping across OTT platforms. May is going to be full of magical, romantic, slice-of-life, and thrilling stories. So, here are seven OTT releases in May you need to add to your summer watchlist right away.

1. Baked S3

It has been seven years since the troublemaker trio Oni, Harry, and Body got together. From getting lost in rural India to being mistaken for drug smugglers and getting arrested, nothing goes according to plan for the boys. As the three reunite for a road trip, tonnes of adventures — as well as misadventures — await them.

2. Jhund

Starring Amitabh Bachchan, the sports drama Jhund is finally making its way to OTT. The movie is based on the life of Vijay Barse. It follows Barse as he rehabilitates slum kids through his NGO Slum Soccer and turns them into football players.

3. Thar

A veteran cop finally sees a chance to prove himself when murder and a stranger’s grisly torture plot shake the walls of a sleepy desert town. The movie reunites the father-son duo, Anil Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor. The movie, directed by Raj Singh Chaudhary, also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh.

4. Stories on the Next Page

An anthology film with three stories, Stories on the Next Page is directed by Brinda Mitra. Each story explores different relationships, conflict, and eventual closure. While one story centres around two sisters, another explores the relationship between a mother and son. The third story focuses on a gay couple’s regrets and uncommunicated grievances. As each story finds closure, a new chapter in their life begins, to be written on the next page. The cast includes Renuka Shahane, Ditipriya Roy, Abhisek Bannerjee, and Syed Raza.

5. Modern Love: Mumbai

An Indian adaptation of the popular US anthology series, Modern Love, Modern Love: Mumbai follows the story of six couples. Six compelling stories of love will be shown that go beyond the barriers of gender, boundary, age, and more. Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava, and Nupur Asthana are headlining the show.

Modern Love: Mumbai is the first in the series with other adaptations, namely, Modern Love: Chennai and Modern Love: Hyderabad set to release soon.

6. The Sound of Magic

The much-anticipated fantasy K-drama, The Sound of Magic is hitting your screens in May. Starring Ji Chang-wook, Choi Sung-eun, and Hwang In-youp in lead roles, the series is based on the webtoon Annarasumanara. This emotional musical follows Lee Eul, an adult magician who wants to remain a child forever, Yon Ah-yi, a high school student who wants to grow up, and Na Il-deung, a student who doesn’t know how to communicate with others.

7. Stranger Things 4

Netflix’s popular series Stranger Things is coming back with its fourth season. The penultimate season takes place six months after the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. In the aftermath of this battle, the group of friends were separated and left to navigate the complexities of high school by themselves. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.

The first part of Season 4 will release in May, with the second part set to release in July.
