Holi 2025 is finally here and so are the biggest, dirtiest parties of the year. But before you down your 15th beer and “try” your third bhaang ka pakoda, here is a small, easy-peasy guide for Holi 2025. And this guide is just for men, so ladies, read and pass this along to all the men you know.
You will not use Holi as an excuse to touch women
Bachche, if you want to touch something so desperately, touch grass. Literally and figuratively. Because you need a reality check to know that women do not like being groped and touched without consent. And especially not by a man with grubby hands, a silver face and a smile that could creep out Ted Bundy. So, on Holi 2025, take a vow to not touch any women, known or unknown, without consent. And if she does want to play Holi with you, don’t make it your life’s mission to destroy her face.
You will not force anyone to play Holi, man or woman
Whether it’s a man or a woman in front of you, do not force anyone to play Holi with you. It’s supposed to be a happy festival of colour, not a punishment. If someone says no, you move on and throw colour on your willing friends. If no one wants to play Holi with you, throw colour on yourself and think about your choices that have led you to this low point.

You will not trick anyone into drinking bhaang
Offer bhaang to everyone you meet. There will be some people who will be grateful for your existence. And there will be others who will refuse and may judge you for consuming bhaang. Now, we don’t like judgemental bachchas here. So, we walk away from them. What we never do is force them to drink or eat bhaang just to change their minds about it and prove a point. You have fun on Holi na, beta ji. Why bother with anyone else? Holi 2025 is all about sharing the love but only when welcomed.
Boys will not be boys
Bahut ho gaya ‘boys will be boys’ ka excuse to harass women on Holi. If this is what being a boy means, please don’t be boys. Be normal human beings and treat people the way you would like to be treated. This is applicable for every day but especially for Holi since some boys pay special attention to women on this day.
You will have fun and let others have fun too
Like I always say, kuchh achcha nahi kar sakte toh bura bhi mat karo. If you can’t be the life of the party, it’s fine. Just enjoy the party and let everyone else do the same. Why must someone go home with memories to haunt them a lifetime just for you to “have fun”?
