1. Sattu ka parantha

Ingredients:
1.5 cups sattu powder
2 tsp kalonji (nigella seeds)
Salt to taste
1 tsp ajwain (carom seeds)
1 green chilli, chopped
1 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
4-5 tbsp onion, chopped
2 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp coriander, chopped
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tbsp mustard oil
A dash of water
Method:
Make a regular dough using wheat flour. For the parantha stuffing, take sattu in a bowl. Add kalonji, ajwain, salt, jeera, red chilli powder, along with chopped onion and green chillies. Pour the lemon juice, mustard oil and a dash of water to combine the ingredients. Heat a pan on a medium flame. Make a small ball of the dough and expand it using your thumbs. Place some sattu stuffing in the middle and gather the edges to seal the dough. Using a rolling pin (belan), roll the stuffed dough into a medium-thick, rounded parantha. Place it on the heated pan. With minimum cooking oil, cook the parantha for 30-40 seconds until golden brown. Sattu ka parantha is ready to be served with curd or your favourite vegetable curry.
2. Sattu ke laddoo

Ingredients:
1 cup sattu powder
1/2 cup desiccated coconut
3/4 cup soft dates
Method:

3. Sattu ka chilla

Ingredients:
1 cup sattu powder
1/2 cup curd
1/4 besan powder (gram flour)
1 tsp ajwain
2 tbsp suji (semolina)
1 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp jeera
1 onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
3-4 coriander leaves, chopped
1 cup water
1 tsp of cooking oil or ghee
Method:
In a bowl, add sattu powder, besan, suji, jeera, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Now, add chopped onion, tomato and coriander leaves. Pour the curd and mix the ingredients well. Add some water to get a thin consistency of the batter. Add water gradually while mixing to get a lump-free batter. Cover the batter with a lid and let it rest for 10 minutes. Now, heat the pan on a medium flame. Take a ladleful of batter and pour it in the centre of the pan. Gently spread in a circular motion to get a medium-thick chilla. Drizzle a few drops of cooking oil or ghee around the edges and on the top. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Flip the chilla to cook the remaining side. Once cooked, the sattu chilla is ready to be served with mint chutney.
4. Sattu soup

Ingredients:
1 cup sattu powder
1 tsp ginger, chopped
1 tsp cooking oil
Salt to taste
1 tsp garlic, chopped
1 tsp green chilli, chopped
1/4 cup capsicum, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 tomato, chopped
4-5 cups water
1/4 French beans, chopped
1/4 cup sweet corn
1 tsp black pepper
3-4 coriander leaves
Method:
Heat the cooking oil in a saucepan on a medium flame. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilli, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Roast chopped onion until golden brown. Now, add tomato, French beans, capsicum, and sweet corn, and cook for 5-6 minutes. Add water to the saucepan and stir the ingredients. Sprinkle some salt and black pepper on the soup, and stir again. In a small bowl, add sattu powder and 3-4 tablespoons of water. Mix the ingredients without creating lumps. Add the sattu mixture to the soup. Keep boiling the soup to get a thick consistency. Garnish the soup with coriander leaves. The sattu soup is ready to enjoy.
5. Sattu smoothie

Ingredients:
1 cup sattu powder
1 glass milk
1 banana, chopped
2 soft dates
2 tbsp jaggery powder
3-4 ice cubes
Method:
In a blender, add sattu powder, milk, chopped banana, and soft dates. Blend the ingredients well to get a smooth consistency. Transfer the smoothie to a glass and add ice cubes. Serve the sattu smoothie chilled.
