1. The “Tu Aaja” track
Bollywood loves to take classic songs and ruin them by remixing them. Reels just take it a notch higher by worsening it. The Tu Aaja trend is no different. Influencers and celebrities alike have jumped on the bandwagon grooving to the song. To say that listening to the song on repeat is irritating is an understatement.

Everybody and their ancestors did this trend, and well, so did we. Sure, the track gave us a headache and made us want to tear our hair off, but we wanted the views as well, IYKYK.

3. The autotuned Titanic track

5. The “calm down” trend
Well, they really need to calm the eff down on this trend, ‘coz it’s getting a little too much now. All these “Calm Down” reels are getting us a little hyper and not in a good way. We really do hope that this Instagram 2022 trend won’t make a comeback in 2023.

7. The “Waalking” trend
The dialogue by Tejasswi Prakash from Naagin 6 about walking at midnight took off like wildfire and found a new life on reels. The actor’s accent is a mood kill and the resulting reel trend is no different. We hope trends like these die their peaceful death in 2022 and we can move on to better things next year.

8. The “Kachcha Badam” trend
Come at me all you want, but one of the cringiest Instagram trends of 2022 was the Kachcha Badam trend. This was probably the time one wished to go back to the Stone Age when social media and phones didn’t exist because that was the only way you could escape this torture.
