So, if you want to play around with gin, here are some classic gin cocktail recipes to get lit this weekend.

1. Classic Gin & Tonic

Ingredients:

60 ml gin

150 ml tonic

30 ml lemon juice

Lemon wedges or slices for garnish

Ice cubes

Method:

Fill a tall glass with ice and pour the gin, lemon juice, and tonic. Now, with a stirrer, mix it well and garnish with a lemon slice or wedge for a quick and refreshing G&T.

2. Southside

60 ml gin

30 ml lemon juice

30 ml simple syrup

5-7 fresh mint leaves

Mint sprig for garnish

Method: 

In a cocktail shaker, add the mint leaves and lemon juice and muddle them gently. Then, add the gin and sugar syrup along with ice and shake till it is chilled. Now, fill a tall glass with fresh ice and strain the mixture into it. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

3. Aviation

Ingredients:

60 ml gin

10 ml cherry syrup or maraschino liqueur

10 ml violet gin or crème de violette liqueur

15 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

Lemon peel for garnish

Ice cubes

Method:

In a shaker add all the ingredients along with ice and shake well till it is chilled. Now take a chilled cocktail glass (place in the freezer for 2 minutes) and strain the drink into it. Now garnish this classic gin cocktail with some lemon peel and sip away!

4. French 75

50 ml gin

60 ml champagne

20 ml lemon juice

20 ml simple syrup

Ice cubes

Lemon twist for garnish

Method:

Take a shaker and add the gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice to it. Now, shake nicely till it is chilled and strain into a champagne flute. Top it off with champagne and garnish with a lemon twist.

5. Vesper

100 ml London dry gin

30 ml vodka

15 ml Lillet Blanc or Angostura orange bitters

Lemon peel for garnish

Ice cubes

Method:

In a cocktail shaker, add all the ingredients with ice and shake till they are well-combined and chilled. Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with lemon peel. An easy, classic gin cocktail recipe for the weekend!

6. Monkey Gland

60 ml gin

30 ml orange juice

A dash of absinthe

2 tsp grenadine or pomegranate juice

Orange slice for garnish

Method:

Take a cocktail shaker and add gin, orange juice, grenadine or pomegranate juice, and ice, and shake well. Now, take a chilled cocktail glass, add a dash of absinthe to it, and strain the prepared cocktail over it. Garnish with an orange slice and serve.

7. Gimlet

100 ml gin

60 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice

60 ml simple syrup

Lime wheel for garnish

Ice cubes

Method:

In a shaker, combine gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice, and shake till it is chilled. Take a chilled cocktail glass and strain the prepared cocktail in it. Garnish with a lime wheel and your gin cocktail is ready.

8. Classic Negroni

60 ml gin

60 ml Campari

Orange peel for garnish

60 ml sweet vermouth

Ice cubes

Method:

In a shaker, add the gin, Campari, vermouth, and ice, and mix well till it is chilled. Next, take a cocktail glass, add fresh ice to it, and pour the strained cocktail over it. Garnish with orange peel and enjoy.

9. Singapore Sling

50 ml gin

30 ml Benedictine liquer or Jagermeister

15 ml cherry liqueur or cherry syrup

30 ml lemon juice

10 ml simple syrup

60 ml club soda

Fresh cherry for garnish

Ice cubes

Method:

Put the gin, Jagermeister, cherry liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Now, shake vigorously till it is chilled. Fill a tall glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail into it. Lastly, top it off with soda and garnish with fresh cherries.
