The recent cryptocurrency and Bitcoin market crash had the Internet exploding with memes and bittersweet tales of repentance. According to experts, this emotional atyachaar moment came about as a result of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s tweet announcing the company’s decision to suspend Bitcoin transactions.

In addition to Musk’s Bitcoin-bashing came China’s decision to ban crypto transactions altogether. And soon enough, the crypto market came crashing down, leaving the average investor with all the chhan se jo tute koi sapna feels.
The cryptic world of crypto
Before we get to the juicy meme bits, here’s my two cents on the world of cryptocurrencies.
Cryptocurrencies to me are as cryptic and bizarre a concept as the existence of pineapple-on-pizza lovers. I really want to understand them but no matter how hard I try, I just can’t do it.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the Gen-Z parampara of Bitcoin fascination. In fact, all those tales of overnight crypto billionaires have often tempted me into almost making some impulsive investments. That being said, you can bet I was grateful to have held off on my Bitcoin-funded Swiss mansion fantasies this past week. I mean, these were definitely not the kind of dips and dives I had in mind while daydreaming about my million dollar vacations to the Bahamas.
Jokes apart, the reality is that at this stage the world of cryptocurrency investments is quite volatile when it comes to balancing risks and returns. And based on what we’ve seen this past week, this up-and-coming investment trend seems to be more of a gamble for the common man. So, if you’re just starting out with investments, cryptocurrencies are not the ideal starting point.

At the end of the day, what matters is that you always make a well-informed decision about any investment. When it comes to money, it’s better to play it safe than to give in to trends.
Invest well so you can sleep tight and not let the Bitcoins bite!
