Move over, typical romance, we are here to celebrate bromances! One of the best parts of watching a Korean drama is the chemistry between the various characters, including the bromances. While heart fluttering romances are sweet, the back and forth between the male characters adds a different sort of charm to the show. The brotherly love and affection, the bickering, and the brotherhood make watching K-dramas a memorable experience. Here are seven popular Korean dramas where the bromance becomes the highlight of the show
1. Prison Playbook (2017)
Kim Je-hyuk was a star baseball player who ends up in prison for assault while trying to save his sister. Coincidentally, his childhood friend Lee Joon-ho is the guard of the prison Je-hyuk is incarcerated in. The whole show is about the relationship between all the prison mates and how they help and support each other. Je-hyuk and Joon-ho’s relationship shines in this show. 3. The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)
Now, this is one show where the bromance overpowers the romance if you ask me. Lee Gon is the third king of the Kingdom of Corea and Jo Yeong is his captain of the Royal Guard. Apart from being a king and his guard, they are also childhood best friends. That’s pretty evident in their interactions with each other. Their humorous banter and constant bickering are something only close friends do.

The Song Joong-ki starrer Vincenzo was one of the biggest hits this year. While people appreciated the show and Joong-ki’s chemistry with fellow actress Jeon Yeo-been, the highlight of the drama was the relationship between Joong-ki’s Vincenzo Cassano and Kwak Dong-yeon’s Jang Han-seo. Vincenzo and Han-seo had one of the most endearing relationships in the show.
