Meet the latest boy group making waves internationally, SuperM. A super-group formed by one of South Korea’s leading entertainment companies, SM Entertainment, the members of SuperM were handpicked by SM’s CEO Lee Soo Man. Dubbed as the ‘Avengers of K-pop’, SuperM is all set to change the way the world perceives K-pop and rule hearts and charts.

1. Baekhyun
Byun Baek-Hyun, or Baekhyun, debuted as the main vocalist of the South Korean group EXO in 2012. He is also a member of EXO’s sub-unit, EXO-CBX, formed in 2016. Baekhyun debuted as a soloist in July 2019 with his first extended play, City Lights. ‘UN Village’, the lead single of his solo album, made it to both Billboard as well as Gaon. His second mini-album, Delight, went on to become the first album by a South Korean soloist to sell 1 million copies. In October 2019, Baekhyun debuted for the fourth time, this time as a leader and main vocalist of the super-group, SuperM. Baekhyun’s exemplary vocals, his dancing abilities, and his streak of breaking records have earned him the title of a ‘Genius Idol’.
2. Kai
Kim Jong-In, better known as Kai, debuted as the main dancer of EXO in 2012. Over the years, he has been recognized as a good vocalist and rapper. He is undoubtedly one of the best dancers in the South Korean and K-pop industry. Kai made his second debut as the main dancer and lead rapper of SuperM in 2019. He was the fifth EXO member to debut as a soloist in November 2020, with his mini-album KAI. The lead single of the album, ‘Mmmh’ became the first song by an SM artist to top iTunes charts in 40 countries.
3. Taemin
Lee Tae-Min, also known as Taemin, made his debut as the main dancer of the group SHINee in 2008 at the age of 14. He is the beloved maknae of the group and is lovingly known as the ‘Idol’s Idol’. He made his solo debut in 2014 with his mini-album, Ace. The lead single of the album ‘Danger’ topped Gaon Album Charts and the Billboard’s World Albums Chart. Taemin is one of the best dancers of K-pop and is known to be influenced by Michael Jackson. He is the main dancer, main vocalist, and centre of SuperM. He is also the only member of SHINee who is a part of SuperM.
4. Taeyong
Lee Tae-Yong, or Taeyong, debuted as a part of the SM Entertainment Group, NCT (Neo Culture Technology). He is the leader of the 23-member group as well as the leader of NCT’s sub-unit, NCT 127 and a member of NCT U. Taeyong is also the main dancer, vocalist, and rapper of NCT 127. The multi-talented Korean icon made his solo debut in 2019 with the hit single ‘Long Flight’, which was a part of the SM Station project. In 2019, Taeyong debuted as the main rapper and lead dancer of SuperM.
5. Mark
Mark Lee, commonly known as Mark, is a member of the boy band NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT Dream. He made his debut in 2016 with NCT U’s lead title, ‘The 7th Sense’. Mark is the leader, main rapper, main dancer, and vocalist of NCT Dream. NCT Dream’s 2019 release, Boom, from their third mini-album, skyrocketed NCT Dream into one of the top 10 best physical sellers of South Korea in 2019. Mark is the baby, or maknae, of SuperM. He is also the main rapper and lead dancer of the group.
6. Ten
Ten is a Thai singer and dancer who marked his debut with NCT U in 2016. He is not just the main dancer but also the lead vocalist and rapper of NCT’s China-based sub-unit, WayV. Ten released a single ‘New Heroes’ as part of The Performance Project. His single peaked at number four on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales. In 2019, he debuted as the main dancer and lead vocalist of SuperM.
7. Lucas
Lucas Wong, or Lucas, is a member of NCT and its Chinese sub-unit, WayV. He made his debut in 2018 with the album ‘NCT 2018 Empathy’. The album’s title track, ‘Boss’, found a place not only in the Gaon Digital Chart but also the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 and Billboard World Digital Songs chart. Lucas joined as the rapper of SuperM in 2019.
