Raveena Tandon’s first meeting with young Ranveer Singh

In an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, host and comedian Kapil Sharma asked Raveena to share why Ranveer was thrown out from the set of Mohra. Raveena said, “He’s a friend; he’s very sweet. But I just didn’t know him back then. So, we were shooting for a rain sequence for the song Tip Tip Barsa Paani. We usually don’t allow guests to be on the set during that time as there’s a certain discomfort during intimate scenes,” Raveena said.
She then showed Kapil Sharma how Ranveer stared at Raveena Tandon with his mouth wide open. This made her extremely uncomfortable, and she asked the guards to escort him out. But do you know what Ranveer’s reaction was when he was sternly asked to leave the set?

Years later, Ranveer shared the same incident during Rajeev Masand‘s roundtable interview featuring Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan and Anil Kapoor. Talking about the time he was thrown out of the set, Ranveer said, “So, for me, that was shattering. I was heartbroken when I was told to leave the set.” While he was walking out in embarrassment, something happened that instantly cheered him up.
Ranveer said, “I was almost in tears, and I feel this hand on my shoulder. I look up, and there’s this shining aura behind me.” It was Akshay Kumar, and he complimented the young Ranveer, saying, “I like your haircut.” Ranveer recalled how this statement lifted his spirits and shared, “He obviously saw how I was feeling… He just came and did that much. I got a picture with him. And I was like, one day, I’m going to be like that guy (Akshay Kumar).”
