As a young girl, I remember watching a lot of old Hollywood films where they showed a couple enjoying a movie out in the open! It was all so fascinating to try to understand this experience of an open-air cinema. An open sky, snacks, and your loved one all snuggled up under a blanket — it still gives me butterflies when I think of it all. The experience became a reality for us in India with the opening of the Sunset Cinema Club, a chain of open-air cinemas in the country. As of now, they’ve got their cinemas in Delhi, Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Dehradun. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic struck us out of nowhere, all such businesses were forced to shut down.

But here’s the good news — Sunset Cinema Club is back in business with drive-ins in Delhi NCR and sky cinema in Bengaluru!
