1. Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2024 magnum opus is making its way to your screens in May. Set against the backdrop of the Indian Independence movement in the 1940s, the show follows the lives of the tawaifs living at Heera Mandi in Lahore. As the scheming Mallikajaan rules over this house of courtesans, a new rival threatens her reign in the rebellious British-ruled India. The series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal in prominent roles.

2. The Broken News S2

What happens behind the scenes in a newsroom? The Broken News takes you through the lives of journalists inside and outside the newsroom. Indian news channels Awaaz Bharati News and Josh 24/7 are rivals due to their diametrically opposite principles. When tragedy strikes, will these journalists be able to stick to what really matters? The series stars Sonali Bendre, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead.

3. Manjummel Boys

One of the best survival thrillers in Malayalam cinema in 2024 is making its way to the OTT platforms in May. Directed by Chidambaram S Poduval, the film follows a group of friends who make a daring rescue of another one of their friends stuck in the Guna Caves, a deep pit from where nobody has ever come back. The movie features an ensemble cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathu S. Poduval, Lal Jr., Deepak Parambol, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, Arun Kurian, Khalid Rahman, Chandu Salimkumar, Shebin Benson, and Vishnu Reghu.

4. Shaitaan

Shaitaan is a supernatural thriller directed by Vikas Bahl, starring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, Jyothika and Janki Bodiwala in the lead. When a couple allows a stranger into their home to charge his phone, their life takes a turn for the worse.

5. Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life

Another survival thriller from Malayalam cinema will be released on OTT in May 2024. Starring Prithviraj in the lead role, Aadujeevitham – The Goat Life is based on Benyamin’s book of the same name. Based on the true story of Najeeb, the movie follows the Malayali immigrant labourer who is forced into slavery as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia and how he finds his way back home.

6. Yodha

When terrorists hijack an international flight, an off-duty soldier on board devises a plan to defeat the attackers and bring the passengers home safely. The movie stars Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role alongside Raashii Khanna, Disha Patani, Ronit Roy and others.

7. Bridgerton S3 Part 1

One of the most anticipated OTT releases of 2024, Bridgerton S3 is finally dropping in May. After the happy romances of two Bridgerton siblings – Daphne and Anthony, season three will focus on Colin Bridgerton and his friend Penelope Featherington’s romance. Actors Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton will take centre stage this season and we will see how Penelope deals with the falling out with her best friend Eloise, Colin’s rather cutting remarks about her and how the two friends fall in love.

8. Madgaon Express

This Kunal Khemu directorial follows three childhood friends who try to fulfil their dream of going to Goa together. Unfortunately, their trip goes way off track than they could anticipate. This comedy stars Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, Avinash Tiwary, Nora Fatehi, Upendra Limaye, and Chhaya Kadam.
