“Rakshak. Bhakshak. Maa.”

The trailer opens with Kajol’s character and her daughter moving to a strange, deserted place. Soon after, we’re shown visuals of horrifying rituals. We hear creepy chants and witness shadowy figures, haunted trees, and mysterious symbols no one should touch. Kajol’s character has to save her daughter from these dark forces, but how will she do it, and how far can she go? Just like Shaitaan, Maa seems to explore how women often find themselves trapped in superstitions and blind traditions. The trailer gives us a glimpse of what happens when faith turns into fear.
The trailer’s visuals pull you in, the atmosphere sends chills down your spine, and the background score effortlessly adds to all of it. Kajol leads a strong ensemble cast including Ronit Roy, Jitin Gulati, Gopal Singh, Indraneil Sengupta, Surjyasikha Das, Roopkatha Chakraborty, Yaaneea Bharadwaj, and Kherin Sharma.
The trailer of Maa looks promising and dives deep into the psychological, emotional, and mythological layers of horror.
