You must visit the hilltop forts and temples along with Jhari and Hebbe Falls.

This is the longest “weekend” of 2025 with nine days off if you plan smartly enough. October 18-19 is a weekend and Diwali is on October 20, Monday. Skip to Bhai Dooj on October 23, Thursday, and then there’s another weekend. Now, if you take three days off in between, you can have a majority of the month’s second half to yourself. But how will you make it worthwhile?

You can either celebrate Diwali at home and take a short trip afterwards or plan two vacations at this time. Jaisalmer and Munnar are two of the best holiday destinations for October. Jaisalmer’s extravagant havelis and jeep safaris in the dunes are the best way to explore the place. Quad biking on the Sam Sand Dunes will be an adventurous sport for you and your friends. If you want to head down south, explore Munnar. Boating, rock climbing, and rappelling are some of the most exciting things to do in Munnar. You must stop by Rasa restaurant to have an authentic sadhya experience.
