1. Shōgun

Based on James Clavell’s epic novel, Shōgun reveals a gripping story set in Japan facing a civil war in the year 1600. A shipwrecked English sailor is pushed into the samurai world and faces cultural clashes. As he tries to survive in a strange place, Lord Yoshii Toranaga and Lady Mariko meet him, complicating the sailor’s life. Hiroyuki Sanada, Cosmo Jarvis, and Anna Sawai bring their A-game to the web series, making it worthwhile.

4. True Detective: Night Country

The show is the fourth season of an acclaimed anthology crime drama series titled True Detective. 5. The Penguin

6. The Bear

A talented chef, Carmen Berzatto, returns to his mediocre life in Chicago to run his late brother’s shop, The Original Beef of Chicagoland. The show casts light on how creative people get crushed in the ‘grind’ to live a decent life. Spectacular actors including Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Ayo Edebiri deliver beautiful performances in the series.
