Sometimes, all you need after a long day is a book to unwind. Every reader has a personal preference when it comes to books. Me? I am a hopeless romantic. I think anything is possible in love, and when you have such perfect fictional boyfriends, who would like to think otherwise? So, if you are feeling a bit dull lately or you just need a pick-me-up, here is a list of feel-good romantic books that will lift up your mood and light up your dreams.

1. The Hating Game

This book follows the relationship between Lucy and Josh who are the executive assistants to the two owners of Bexley & Gamin, a publishing house. Like a true romance, they hate each other from the moment they meet. What unfolds is a series of games, some steamy romance, and raw confessions. This novel tops my list of the enemies-turned-lovers genre. So, if you need a pick-me-up, you know which romantic book to read.

Buy it here.

2. The Duff: Designated Ugly Fat Friend

If you want to read about friendship, loyalty, and love, this is the feel-good book for you. The story revolves around Bianca, a snarky and outspoken girl who doesn’t care about anyone’s opinion. But when Wesley Rush, one of the popular guys at school, calls her Duff, all hell breaks loose. This book is fun and quirky, so it’s ideal when you want to read something easy and light. Read it here.

3. To all the boys I’ve loved before

If you are not living under a rock, you might have seen a cutesy romantic movie with the same title. The story follows Lara Jean and her past relationships. And she has secretly written letters to all the boys she has loved in her past. Lara Jean never sends these letters but, one day, she finds they are gone and her letters have been sent out. Everyone she has ever loved now knows her secret. The book has its own charm, so even if you have watched the movie, read the book as well as it is far more structured and romantic. Read it here.

4. Eleanor & Park

Eleanor & Park is for those days when it’s freezing outside and you want a book to unwind with a hot cup of cocoa on the side. This is that book. It’s so freaking cute, you guys! The story revolves around two young adults who found comfort in each other when everything was falling apart. It’s all about holding hands, stolen glances, and pure love. Nothing manipulative, ugly, or sad. So if you want to escape reality, you know which romantic book to pick. Read it here.

Also, going to leave my favourite quote from the book here:

“Eleanor was right. She never looked nice. She looked like art, and art wasn’t supposed to look nice; it was supposed to make you feel something.”

5. The Deal

Talking about feel-good romances and not a bad boy to be seen? That’s not happening! We love a good bad boy. The Deal revolves around Hannah Wells who makes a deal with college bad boy Garrett Graham. Even though the plot seems similar, it’s something that you won’t regret reading. It’s funny, witty, and oh so hot! I’m not going to give anything else away, you just have to read it to know how this story unfolds. Buy the book here.
