Is Diljit Dosanjh being replaced by Ammy Virk in the Bollywood movie, Border 2? This question had the internet buzzing after the release of the renowned Punjabi singer and actor’s film Sardaar Ji 3. The movie features Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in the lead alongside Diljit and Neeru Bajwa. Following the Pahalgam terror attack in April and Operation Sindoor in May 2025, India banned any collaboration with Pakistani artists. What started as a small debate after Sardaar Ji 3’s release became an outrage and paved the way for several rumours. One of them was Diljit’s ban from the Bollywood industry and his ouster from the upcoming movie Border 2. 

But it looks like he has finally put an end to the growing speculation. Diljit Dosanjh took to Instagram to share a wholesome behind-the-scenes video from the sets of Border 2. Here’s what the video reveals.

Diljit shared the behind-the-scenes clip in his signature style with excellent commentary. The clip opens with him giving another take for his first shoot for the movie. Other scenes highlight Diljit goofing around with the cast of Border 2, featuring Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and the film’s director, Anurag Singh. Some of the snippets from the video also feature Anees Bazmee and Boney Kapoor hinting that Diljit is still a part of No Entry 2. In the video, Diljit is also seen chatting  in Punjabi with his co-actor Mona Singh.

This BTS moment feels like a cinematic mic drop. It’s clear that Diljit Dosanjh is still very much part of Border 2, and the rumours? Just that, rumours.
