Love might be written in the stars, but sometimes, it’s stuck behind the wrong headboard. According to Vastu Shastra, an ancient Indian architectural design system, the interiors of your home, especially the bedroom, quietly affect the bond you and your partner share. If you need to fix your relationship issues, some Vastu tips might help you significantly.
We asked Dr Neha Jain, Founder and Chief Vastu Consultant at Vastukarma, to recommend ways to strengthen love and intimacy between couples. Here’s what she suggests.

How Vastu helps to resolve relationship issues

Shouldn’t communicating with your partner be the logical solution to save a faltering relationship? I used to think the same until Dr Neha explained how Vastu adds to other practical solutions. “By aligning your living space with Vastu principles, you can create an environment that fosters affection, understanding, and lasting relationships,” Dr Neha says. “Using the right colours, changes in bedroom placement, and other interior changes lead to harmonious energy between couples.” This doesn’t mean you stop putting effort into your relationship just because you moved the bed by an inch. A combination of Vastu tips and individual efforts by both partners can help you solve your relationship issues.
Vastu tips for a couple’s bedroom

A bedroom is more than just a place to rest. It’s also where you and your bae connect, cuddle, or even fight over a blanket and room temperature. According to Vastu Shastra, the bedroom’s vibe and direction can make all the difference to a couple’s life. So, you must ensure your bedroom is in the Southwest. “This direction is considered the most auspicious location for the master bedroom as it promotes stability, trust, and a strong emotional bond between partners,” Dr Neha suggested. You must avoid the Southeast and the Northeast rooms as they are “associated with the fire element, which might lead to frequent conflicts and restlessness.” Even if your bedroom follows an ideal direction, the right choice of colours can be a real game-changer.
Best colours for a couple’s bedroom

According to the Vastu expert, “Colours like soft pink and purple symbolise love, compassion, and warmth. They are ideal for deepening the emotional connection between partners. Pastel peach and beige create a soothing and inviting atmosphere, promoting relaxation and intimacy.” Dr Neha also suggested keeping romantic showpieces in your bedroom to reignite the spark in your relationship. “Placing a cupid love showpiece, rose quartz crystals, and a pair of lovebirds or swans is highly beneficial as they represent fidelity and unity,” Dr Neha recommended. Now that you know what to do, what about the things you shouldn’t be doing?

Dr Neha warns about some common interior-related mistakes people make that disrupt a couple’s romantic bond. “The use of open mirrors in the bedroom triggers frequent conflicts and aggression due to energy clash. Displaying the couple’s photos in the Northeast corner, the wrong placement of the bed and the use of dark colours are some things you must avoid,” the Vastu consultant suggested. “It is important to check the Southeast and Southwest corners of the house for any Vastu faults.”
Following these Vastu tips will help you solve your relationship issues, restoring love and harmony. Nonetheless, “your continuous effort and mutual understanding is important in keeping any relation strong and close,” Dr Neha explained.
