1. Shantanu & Nikhil
Designer duo Shantanu & Nikhil’s latest bridal collection, ‘Capella’ was quite a stunner! It features exaggerated silhouettes and deep tones of charcoal, off-white, and gold. The collection takes inspiration from the Baroque Era and its majestic artefact: The Chandelier. ‘Capella’ has a lot of motif work, lace details, big tulle skirts, and veils to reflect the opulence of the 17th century.

2. Eka
Eka’s collection combines handcrafted and hand-woven Indian textiles to create a new motif language. It explores block print on handwoven cotton, cotton silk, kota, linen, and blends. And they’ve created brighter colour palettes to match the enthusiasm of the season’s awakening for Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai 2022.
3. Anju Modi
Anju Modi’s collection brings a revolutionary philosophy of reviving traditional crafts and creating timeless, organic, and handcrafted silhouettes. The collection features a vibrant colour palette, comprising deep yellows, garnet red, delicate ivories, royal pink, and blues. And it has an old-world charm to it making it one of our favourite collections at Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai 2022!
4. Gauri & Nainika
Gauri & Nainika’s collection focuses on entirely biodegradable fabrics with flowy silhouettes and abstract floral prints. It is breezy and fresh, and it brings out some solid colours to mix and match with abstract prints.
5. Aisha Rao
Aisha Rao’s collection for Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai 2022 is stunning! It focuses on recreating the beauty of Trencadís, a type of folk art that uses broken tile mosaics put together piece by piece like a jigsaw. The collection also brings a lot of sparkles and sequins making it perfect for a day-to-night collection.
6. Gaurang
Gaurang’s collection combines the magnificence of handwoven and handcrafted textiles. These dynamic crafts have been balanced with surface textures of bandhani, shibori, patachitra, kalamkari, and cheriyal paintings. It has bright hues of red and golden that make it surreal.
7. Payal Singhal
Payal Singhal’s collection for Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai 2022 exudes a feminine edge and a deep embrace of one’s sex appeal. The brand’s signature silhouettes like kalidaar shararas and the tie-back cholis remain a constant in this collection. It also brings some experimental and deconstructed Indian wear. This includes pants with tie-up half-lehengas, ruffled blouses, hip cut-outs, and festive pantsuits.
8. Anushree Reddy
Anushree Reddy’s collection for Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai 2022 takes its inspiration from royal travel stories of gilded-era royalties. It thus marries age-old craft and cultural notations with modernist elegance and the brand’s charismatic aesthetic. Also, mystical flora and fauna are beautifully brought to life using the brand’s signature embroidery and silhouettes.
9. Nachiket Barve
Nachiket Barve’s collection echoes a sense of vitality, exuberance, and lightness that elevates contemporary celebrations. It features cutwork, thread embroidery, beading, and applique techniques to bring the ensembles to life. The looks are polished, sophisticated, and fashion-forward; while the embellishment is detailed and the silhouettes are timeless and flattering.
10. Shyamal & Bhumika
Shyamal & Bhumika’s collection for Lakme Fashion Week Mumbai 2022 celebrates their globe-trotting muse. It uses a blend of hand-embroidered masterpieces, designed using age-old craft techniques in an unusual mix of colours and silhouettes.
