Here are some of our absolute favourite collections from Lakme Fashion Week 2022 Mumbai so far. They’re fun, edgy, elegant, and embody all things fashion.

1. Anamika Khanna

Anamika Khanna was the opening designer for Lakme Fashion Week 2022 Mumbai. Her collection consists of white cotton, prints in silk, and handmade shibori, with denim making an appearance. The idea behind AK’s collection is all about innovative ways of draping with a splash of colours on fluid silhouettes.

2. Khanijo

Khanijo’s collection tells its tale from the stale. Built with fabrics from their dead stock artfully assembled in a juxtaposition of patterns, materials, colours and textures, it talks in a globally engaging dialect. The collection features achromatic colour and texture blocking along with novel shapes derived from the idea of illusion.

3. Mishru

Mishru’s collection, ‘Form & Feeling’, for Lakme Fashion Week 2022 Mumbai is both delicate and strong. It brings classic feminine style and tailored strength with natural organic patterns. And the bright hues with extravagant silhouettes evoke a sense of surreal fantasy.

4. Not So Serious by Pallavi Mohan

‘Not So Serious’ by Pallavi Mohan is an ode to the feisty force of friendship, its vibrance, and its energy. And it is reflected in the collection’s hues of ivory and blue with a touch of sparkle in silver and champagne tones.

5. Geisha Designs

Geisha Design’s collection, ‘Luminescent’, features playful silhouettes and shiny textures. It is an occasion wear collection that is both stylish and festive. The collection showcases a line of cocktail gowns and evening wear pieces that mix masculine elements with feminine silhouettes.
