3. Mumbai Mafia: Police vs The Underworld
Set in the 1990s in Mumbai, this January OTT release is a documentary on ‘encounter cops’ who fight the mafia. In the 1990s, a mafia criminal and his network wield unchecked power over the city until the rise of the encounter cops who brazenly kill their targets.

4. Trial by Fire
Based on the 1997 Uphaar Cinema tragedy, the series is inspired by the book Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy. The series follows the resilient journey of parents Neelam and Shekhar who lost their two children in the fire. This 2023 January OTT release will see endless trials and tribulations in the pursuit of justice that took over 24 years. 6. Mission Majnu
This January OTT release is a spy thriller that promises to keep you guessing till the end. Mission Majnu is slated to be the untold story of India’s biggest covert operation that took place before the India-Pakistan War of 1971. Set in the 1970s, an undercover Indian spy takes on the audacious mission to expose the nuclear weapons programme in Pakistan. The movie stars Sidharth Malhotra, Rashmika Mandanna, Bhumika Chawla, and Parmeet Sethi.

7. Chhatriwali
Starring Rakulpreet Singh, Chhatriwali follows a small-town unemployed, graduate woman, desperate for work. The movie is set in Karnal and is about Sanya, a chemistry genius who uses her skills to fight a social taboo. She takes it upon herself to educate the youth about sex education and strives to make a difference in society while normalising the conversation around sex and sexual health.
