First of all, bachche, you have to answer the most basic question here – why do you want to be friends with your ex? If that dharti ka bojh was worth staying in your life, you would’ve stayed in the relationship, no? But chalo, if you want to pretend that you’re cool and dgaf, I will tell you how to be friends with your ex without losing your mind.

Delete all old chats with them

The end of the romantic relationship and beginning of a friendship cannot have you scrolling up to hearts, kisses and nudes. Just delete all those relationship chats and literally start afresh. Not that you can tell them what to do now, but you can suggest to your ex that they do the same. Maybe when the chats disappear, so will the feelings.

Consult a neurologist to rewire your brain

Because you will need help to forget the reason for your breakup. If you were in a proper relationship, the breakup also must’ve hurt. And if it hurts, it stays in your mind forever. Ask me. I still can’t forgive that maindak who asked me to be his girlfriend, took my notes in tuition classes, and then changed his number after school. Kaun karta hai aise batao? Now if he was to tell me that he wants to be friends, I will not be all haha hehe. I will plot revenge, bachche. Yes, even 30 years later.

Pay for them to get extensive cosmetic surgery

Shakal badlegi tab hi toh nazariya badlega, bachche. The same face will bring back memories that may lead to mistakes. Not the good kind of mistakes that you can laugh about later. So, if you want to be friends with your ex, their face needs to change. The features that you liked in particular, like their eyes or their jawline, should be sacrificed. No temptation for you then to slip back into old ways. And since this is your demand, you are the one who should pay for it. Hopefully, the cost of cosmetic surgery will be enough to make you drop the idea of being friends with that kitanu.

Kaala jaadu

When all else fails, try some good old black magic. Why, you ask? Because if your ex is not showing signs of change after every other effort, kaala jaadu is your only option. That is, of course, if you’re reaalllly desperate to be friends with your ex. And if you want this friendship so badly, maybe just block them and try to move on because this is an unhealthy level of hanging on to the past.

I have given you tips on how to be friends with your ex, bachche. But I would strongly advise, for the sake of your happiness and for the people around you who dealt with your post-breakup rona-dhona, that you just move on to better things in life. You know, like padhai and making a career.
