Drinking water is a must for healthy and glowing skin, but who said anything about just drinking plain and boring H2O? While your body definitely needs water, you can make it interesting with some lemon, berries, or more. It not only detoxifies your body but also adds a kick of flavours, making it healthy and refreshing. So, get your H2O and try out these detox water recipe ideas.

1. Strawberry basil water

Ingredients:

10-12 fresh strawberries

2 lemon wedges

1 lemon, freshly squeezed juice

A handful of fresh basil leaves

Method:

Take a 1-litre glass jar, add all the ingredients together, and mix nicely. Using a wooden spoon, crush the strawberries and basil leaves to release their flavours. Refrigerate this overnight, or for at least three hours, to allow the flavours to mix.

2. Cucumber lemon water

Ingredients:

1 whole cucumber, diced

2 lemons

A handful of basil leaves

1 spoon honey

Method:

Take a 1-litre glass jar or pitcher and fill it with filtered water. To this, add the cucumber and basil leaves, and squeeze in the juice from the lemons. Mix all of it and add some honey. Refrigerate overnight or at least for three to four hours. An easy detox water recipe!

3. Berries infused water

Ingredients:

10-12 blueberries

15 raspberries

10 strawberries

1 kiwi

2 lemons

A handful of basil leaves

A pinch of cinnamon

1 cup sparkling water

Method:

Get a 1-litre glass jar or pitcher and fill 3/4th of it with filtered water. Next, add the fruits in it except kiwi. Using a spoon, crush the berries a little, stir well, and add kiwi, basil, and cinnamon. Refrigerate this overnight, and add chilled sparkling water when it is ready.

4. Lemon, apple cider, and aloe vera water

Ingredients:

1-2 cups water

1 lemon, juiced and sliced

2 tsp apple cider vinegar

1/2 tsp aloe vera

3 tsp honey

A handful of mint and basil leaves

Method:

Add all the ingredients to a glass jar or pitcher and mix well. You can either use hot water and drink it immediately, or keep it in the refrigerator overnight and enjoy chilled.

5. Grapefruit detox water

Ingredients:

2 litres filtered water

2 lemons, sliced

1 orange, sliced

1/2 cup cucumber, sliced

1 grapefruit, sliced

2 tsp ginger, sliced

A handful of peppermint leaves

Method:

In a pitcher or glass jar, add all the ingredients and mix well. Keep this to refrigerate overnight and enjoy chilled the next morning. You can keep consuming small quantities throughout the day.

6. Chia and fruit water

Ingredients:

2 cups cold water

Any fruit of your choice

1 tbsp chia seeds

Method:

Add all the ingredients to a glass jar and stir well. Refrigerate for at least 20 mins. Enjoy the results of a healthy, super easy detox water recipe.

7. Blueberry orange water

Ingredients:

4 oranges, cut into wedges

1 cup blueberries (or any other berries of your choice)

3 cups water

Method:

Add all the ingredients in a pitcher and muddle the orange and berries lightly to release the juice. Give it a good stir and refrigerate overnight. Serve chilled the next morning.

8. Watermelon cucumber water

Ingredients:

1/2 cubed watermelon

2 cucumbers, sliced

1 lemon

3 cups water

Method:

Add all the ingredients in a pitcher and squeeze in the juice of a lemon. Stir well. Lightly muddle the fruits to release the juices and let the mixture sit in the refrigerator for about an hour. Enjoy your detox water chilled.
