From dabba service to running a drug cartel
VivaLife Pharma is caught in a scandal of illegally selling opioids in the Indian markets. Shankar (Jisshu Sengupta), along with his team, is trying to cover it up and save their company from FDSCO, which is investigating their involvement in the case. This brings up his estranged relationship with his wife Varuna (Jyotika), who is struggling to keep her boutique business afloat.

While this is happening, Hari (Bhupendra Jadawat) is trying to impress Shankar to get a transfer to Germany. His wife Raji (Shalini Pandey) is juggling her tiffin business and her mother-in-law, ex-criminal Sheila (Shabana Azmi), while trying to support her husband emotionally and financially. She, along with her maid and business partner Mala (Nimisha Sajayan), gets involved in a drug cartel after being blackmailed into it. Joined by the two are their landlord, Shahida (Anjali Anand), Varuna, and Sheila, each out of their own circumstances. But will they be able to pull it off without getting caught?
Is the 7-episode series worth the watch?
Director Hitesh Bhatia and producer Farhan Akhtar have created a crime series that is engaging, entertaining, and slightly chaotic. And keeping the five witty women at the centre of the storyline gives it a fun and refreshing spin. From Shabana Azmi’s Gujarati MIL act to Shahida’s clever ways to earn money, the cast brings different flavours and personalities to the screen. The diverse age group of the women makes the storyline both relatable and engaging to watch.
Special mention to Gajraj Rao, who plays FDSCO employee Ajit, along with police inspector Preeti, played by Sai Tamhankar.
