So, here are five of the best collections from Lakmé Fashion Week 2025 that stood out and gave us a glimpse of the upcoming year’s trends and styles.

1. Aseem Kapoor

Aseem Kapoor opened the LFW ’25 with his collection ‘Akaar’. The collection featured earthy palettes, embroidery, prints, and sculpted silhouettes inspired by ancient landscapes and sacred geometry. With bright colours, a mix of prints, and unconventional patterns, this collection is going to be on everyone’s summer 2026 mood board.

2. Papa Don’t Preach

Papa Don’t Preach had one of the best collections at Lakmé Fashion Week 2025. Celebrating the modern shapeshifter, the collection featured flirtatious mini skirts, embroidered baby-doll dresses, and signature corsets, adorned with beads, 3D florals, and charms. The draped sarees, metallic cholis, and voluminous lehengas were the perfect blend of Indian wear with a modern flair.

3. Mahima Mahajan

When it comes to romantic florals, sequin work, and pastel palettes, nobody does it better than Mahima Mahajan. Her collection ‘Fanah’ was a love story woven in thread and tulle. It featured ethereal pastels, jewel tones, the designer’s signature florals, delicate embroidery, and soft textures. With fluid silhouettes and chiffon and silk fabrics, the collection effortlessly married vintage and modern fashion.

4. ITRH

ITRH brought maximalist fashion to the runway and easily earned a spot in our list of best collections at Lakmé Fashion Week 2025. ‘Noor’ by ITRH showcased traditional Indian work like jaal mirror work, zardozi, and gota patti, drenched in vintage silks and timeless jewels.

5. Shantanu Nikhil

Shantanu Nikhil’s collection ‘Velora’ celebrated structure, seduction, and modern power through corseted bodices, liquid gowns, and sculpted drapes. The OG menswear brand showcased its first all-womenswear couture for women who command rather than conform, redefining the red carpet as their own territory.
