Between comfort rewatches, new recommendations that were all the rage on social media, and doomscrolling, 2025 went by just like that, right? But some titles clearly stood out from the clutter, which made us cancel plans so we could watch just “one more episode”. So, if you missed out, here are some of the best movies and series of 2025 on Amazon Prime Video that you must watch.

1. Bhool Chuk Maaf

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, Bhool Chuk Maaf follows Ranjan, who gets stuck in a time loop a day before his wedding. What makes this film entertaining and truly memorable is its use of powerful humour to comment on social themes. Rajkummar and Raghubir Yadav’s flawless comic timing perfectly sets the momentum for this romcom.

2. Superboys Of Malegaon

If you’re an artist anywhere in the world, this movie deserves to be on your watchlist. Directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Zoya Akhtar, Superboys Of Malegaon portrays small-town artists who remake Sholay (1975) as Malegaon Ke Sholay for their village using makeshift materials. The slice-of-life film will give you hope, make you cling to your friendships even more, restore your faith in love, and believe in your dreams. This makes Superboys Of Malegaon one of the best movies of 2025 available on Amazon Prime Video.

3. Panchayat Season 4

This season has the intent right, but it falters in sustaining the wholesomeness it has been delivering over the years. Then why does Panchayat Season 4 deserve a place among the best series of 2025 on Amazon Prime Video? It’s because this series always delivers the best character arcs, making you cheer for new supporting cast members in every season. This season made us appreciate Vinod (Ashok Pathak) and Kranti Devi (Sunita Rajwar). The makers explore these characters deeply and give them their due on screen.

4. The Family Man Season 3

After years of waiting, the makers of The Family Man finally returned with Season 3, only to leave it at a cliffhanger. This season brings back Srikant Tiwari (Manoj Bajpayee) and introduces us to the most lethal villain of the series yet, Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat). With the story leaning into sharper political tensions, the stakes are higher this time. But the show beautifully balances it out with its kickass humour. If you still haven’t watched The Family Man Season 3, this should be your cue to watch it soon.

5. Nishaanchi

Anurag Kashyap delivered a banger this year. Nishaanchi is one of the best movies of 2025 on Amazon Prime Video. The movie is a two-part crime drama that follows identical twin brothers whose paths diverge into crime and morality. The raw, textured storytelling and the cast’s strong, committed performances give this familiar gangster movie an intense feel. The way Anurag plays with dark humour while maintaining emotional depth will make you love Nishaanchi even more.

6. The Life Of Chuck

Have you also hypothetically wondered what an ordinary life means when the world is ending? If you haven’t got your answers yet, it’s time to watch The Life Of Chuck. The movie answers this by unfolding the story of Charles Krantz in reverse-chronological order, starting with the apocalypse, then revealing his childhood. It will show you how the small, intimate moments you live are quietly profound when you look back.

7. Pataal Lok Season 2

Jaideep Ahlawat has been the core memory of 2025 for many of us. He has been delivering back-to-back entertaining movies and series. And one such banger is Paatal Lok Season 2, where Jaideep reprises his role as Inspector Hathiram Chaudhary. He makes a morally broken cop even more compelling with his fine craft. The second season follows gritty investigations, cast divides and media fallouts that will keep you engaged.

8. Crazxy

What would you sacrifice first if every second in your life is taking you closer to danger? The Sohum Shah-starrer Crazxy questions something similar with a plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. More so, it will leave you with just one word in the end: crazy! The film follows a renowned surgeon who’s racing against time as his kidnapped daughter’s life is at stake. Sohum single-handedly keeps you invested in the story with his stellar performance.

9. Dupahiya

Taking a familiar, small-town backdrop like PanchayatDupahiya nails it with its raw humour and a unique plot. The series is based in Dhadakpur, a crime-free village, which suddenly reports the theft of a motorbike. This triggers a chain reaction that reveals a chaotic, humorous, and heartwarming plot that packs a beautiful social message for the viewers.

10. F1: The Movie

Starring Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes, F1: The Movie created the best hype before its release and delivered. It throws you straight into the world of Formula 1, following Sonny, a former racing car driver who returns to the track after 30 years to help a struggling team. The F1 circuits and the sheer thrill of watching cars tear through corners at insane speeds will give you chills.
