Anand Tiwari’s Bad Newz has been in the news for several reasons. But let’s all admit that we’ve been waiting for this movie for the very solid, extremely talented, and good-looking Vicky Kaushal. Tauba, tauba! The film, inspired by true events, stars Triptii Dimri, Vicky Kaushal, and Ammy Virk in lead roles. A sequel to Good Newzz, Anand Tiwari’s pregnancy-universe takes an interesting turn in this one and gives the audience a hilarious and entertaining watch. But is it worth spending two and a half hours? Read this Bad Newz movie review and find out!
P.S. This is strictly a Vicky Kaushal fan post.
Superfecundation, the syaapa that brings the trio together
Folks, no point wasting time pronouncing superfecundation, aapse na ho paayega. So, let’s just quickly establish what it means. It is a phenomenon in which a woman gets two pregnancies in the same cycle from two different partners.
To put it in Bad Newz’s context, Saloni (Triptii Dimri), after having an extremely drunk and adventurous night, sleeps with her ex Akhil (Vicky Kaushal) and then Gurbir (Ammy Virk). After all the fun and games, she conceives twins from both men. Upon paternal tests, the trio learn about the once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon of superfecundation which completely changes their lives.

Now, the three of them must decide who takes the responsibility, who keeps the children and who will become Saloni’s ultimate partner.

Vicky Kaushal’s Akhil Chadha is the star of the show

Bad Newz isn’t the best movie, but it’s also not the worst. It’s hilarious in parts and lets you enjoy Vicky Kaushal’s comic timing. Now, I’m officially done with the Bad Newz movie review, and from this point, I’m only going to be talking about Akhil Chadha (Vicky Kaushal), sab toh vadha.
The owner of the famous Akhil Chadha Chaap shop in Karol Bagh, Vicky’s character is funny, witty, relatable, and likeable (to a large extent). His comic timing is on point, and honestly, he looks sizzling on the screen. Today, I realised why everyone keeps saying that Katrina is one lucky woman.
Akhil Chadha, the dancer, is an unexpected but great surprise and adds a great appeal to the movie. He might be obsessed with his mummy more than he is with his biwi, but you will understand where that comes from and how he evolves in his role.
So, if you have nothing better to do at the weekend, I suggest you watch this entertainer, if not for the plot, at least for this eye candy of a man. The supporting cast including the supremely talented Neha Dhupia, Sheeba Chadha, Faisal Rashid, Guneet Singh Sodhi, and Vijaylaxmi Singh have done superbly well and greatly added to the storyline.
That’s all for the Bad Newz movie review, which is now available in cinemas near you.
Can you watch it with your family?: The movie features some sexual content, and might not make for a family watch. Let them watch Hum Saath Saath Hain instead.
