Bachche, I’m all for love marriages, and I always will be. But I will never, ever be in favour of falling in love with someone else after marrying the “love of your life”. Yeh kya baat hui? Life ek hai, toh love of your life bhi ek hi hona chahiye na? When I heard this story from a heartbroken bachcha of mine, I just felt so sad. The level of betrayal, from her husband, her best friend, and her parents is diabolical!

Husband is useless, best friend is useless. But the parents need to step up and ask about their daughter’s wellbeing. Aise kaise apne bachche ko chhod diya just because you don’t like her husband? I just don’t understand parents like these. Is your love for your child so fragile that you’ll make her life miserable if you don’t agree with her choices? If you don’t like her husband, shouldn’t you be even more concerned about your daughter’s welfare and be involved in her life to make sure she’s okay? But na ji, hamaari toh ego sabse important hai. Bachche ko aise daraa ke rakhenge hum that the child should never be able to confide in her parents. The people who literally brought her into this world. More than anybody else, I hold her parents accountable for her misery. Their betrayal is the only reason this bachcha can’t walk out of a terrible marriage.
