A designer whose name is legendary in Indian fashion, Tarun Tahiliani always leaves a lasting impression with his collections. This year, at India Couture Week, the designer went a step ahead. He ended India Couture Week 2019 with quite a bang, and not just in terms of his designs. Instead of featuring a showstopper from Bollywood, as is the common practice, he broke that tradition and even commented on it.

But that wasn’t the only thing keeping us glued to our seats. Tarun Tahiliani’s couture collection by itself was quite a head-turner. In an epic collaboration with Swarovski, Tahiliani created some real gems. The highlight of the show was an embellished lehenga with almost 100,000 Swarovski crystals and flora inspired appliqué embroidery.
