Deepika Padukone is all set to play Suhana’s mother onscreen

A report by Peeping Moon, a leading media firm, reveals that Deepika Padukone will have a striking cameo in SRK’s movie King. The report confirms her role as Suhana Khan’s mother in Siddharth Anand’s thriller movie. While her role is limited to a cameo, the report affirms that her presence is integral to the film’s plot. Both SRK and Anand were keen on casting her, and she wholeheartedly accepted the role. After breaking records at the box office with blockbusters like Pathaan and Jawan, King will be SRK and Deepika’s third consecutive collaboration. Furthermore, it has been revealed that many more big Bollywood names will join the ensemble cast.
The report confirms Abhishek Bachchan’s role as the villain in King. Along with him, the 2024 film Munjya‘s lead actor, Abhay Verma, will also play a character that is yet to be disclosed. In an exclusive interview with CNN-News18, Abhay talks about his excitement to work with SRK. He said, “It might be a very overwhelming thing for me… For him, I can also play a mosquito on the wall in the movie. I hope I get to relive the reality I’ve been playing in my head.”
About the movie King

According to Peeping Moon, King is based on the 2000 action-thriller Bichhoo, featuring Bobby Deol and Karisma Kapoor. The film was an unofficial remake of Léon: The Professional, a 1994 French film. However, the movie King is not entirely a remake, as it draws from the premise of Bichhoo. In the movie King, SRK is speculated to play a lethal assassin who will take revenge for Suhana Khan’s character in the story that will mark her big screen debut. The father-daughter duo’s first-ever collaboration has left fans extremely excited for the film.
The movie is currently in its pre-production phase and will have a theatrical release in 2026. SRK and Deepika’s movie King promises a gripping story packed with drama and action, and we can’t wait to watch it.
