Being the most celebrated wedding photographer in India, Joseph Radhik has created unforgettable memories at several celebrity weddings, not only for the couple but also for their fans. From Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas to Allu Arjun-Sneha Reddy, he has got the ‘candid wedding photography’ game right.

In a conversation on AfterHours With AAE, Joseph Radhik got candid with host Bani G. Anand about weddings, photography and celebrities. He shared some behind-the-scenes chaos at celebrity weddings, including what he got wrong at one. Here’s what he revealed.

“I didn’t know Nick Jonas as a singer”

When asked about the funny wedding blunders Joseph experienced, he shared a hilariously surprising bit about Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ wedding. Joseph Radhik said, “Unfortunately funny… Nick, please don’t disown me for this. But I knew Nick Jonas as the actor in Jumanji, not as Jonas Brothers.” Bani then asked when he learned that he’s a famous singer. “When Nick and the brothers, Joe, Kevin and everyone, even Jonas Sr, they all took the mic and started singing at the mehendi. And I was like, ‘Man, these guys can sing.’ And I said this out loud,” shared Joseph.

He was embarrassed and shared how “the bride (Priyanka Chopra) thought he was joking.” However, Joseph finally learned about the Jonas Brothers when Priyanka’s sister, Parineeti Chopra, told him that they were an “actual band.” Bani then asked Joseph how he didn’t know about Nick’s fame. To this, he replied, “I grew up in the wrong era. I was not a part of the Disney childhood, I guess. I viewed Doordarshan and actually didn’t watch TV much… Cable TV was not a thing. So, I didn’t know Nick Jonas.”

“I’ve seen weddings where things go wrong at parties”

While sharing epic fails at weddings that led to chaos, Joseph said, “You know, a fully decked up bride and they couldn’t find the veil. They figured out that it was left back at home, by the way.” In another story, Joseph told, “I have seen catastrophic stuff like the bride’s lehenga not being found. It was because it came in a separate box, and the box got pushed off somewhere during the hospitality. Nobody checked on it.” He further said, “Suddenly, it’s the wedding day morning. She’s getting ready, and they’re all like, ‘Okay, now take out the wedding lehenga.’ Like, where is it?”
