Jolly LLB 3 movie: The plot

Jolly is back in court, but this time the stakes are higher as it’s Jolly vs Jolly. The film begins with the case of a marginalised farmer, Rajaram Solanki, who is being asked to give up his land to a business tycoon for a major project, Bikaner to Boston. The indebted farmer refuses to surrender and appeals to the court for the same. But the court gives a verdict against him, compelling him to take his own life.
But the case doesn’t close as his wife, Janki Rajaram Solanki, seeks a lawyer’s help to fight the case. While she initially goes to Jolly Tyagi (Arshad Warsi), the lawyer intentionally sends her to Jolly Mishra (Akshay Kumar), his rival, as he knows he wouldn’t make any money out of this. But Janki takes her case to both of them, as she wants both the Jollys to help her retrieve her rightful land. But with the longstanding ego and tensions, will Jolly Mishra and Jolly Tyagi forget their personal rivalry to do their job? Will Janki get her land back, or will she lose it forever?
Jolly LLB 3 movie review: A gripping courtroom drama that will also leave you in splits

The movie is an engaging blend of comedy, drama, and emotional depth. Jolly LLB 3 balances its humorous moments with a sharp commentary on politics and corruption that decides a farmer’s fate in India. Jolly Mishra and Jolly Tyagi’s witty banter will keep you entertained when the plot gets too intense. While these advocates indulge you in their sassy punchlines, Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi’s (Saurabh Shukla) humour is unmissable too. He perfectly represents the judge who’s had enough of the Jolly drama but also finds it amusing. Like its previous parts, Jolly LLB 3 is on the way to claiming its spot as a cult favourite.
Amidst the subtle humour, director Subhash Kapoor creates a layered plot that talks about a serious issue – why is a country’s ‘development’ only a farmer’s burden to bear? The movie’s satirical dig at this problem will not just amaze you; it will compel you to think along the same lines.
Jolly LLB 3 movie: The talented cast

The movie features a stellar cast where every actor has done justice to their role. Akshay, Arshad, and Saurabh are undoubtedly the showstoppers of Jolly LLB 3. Bringing his signature charm, Akshay portrays Jolly Mishra’s comical errors, kindness, and honesty with utmost sincerity. Arshad’s comeback as the OG Jolly was fun to watch. While he is equally entertaining, he is given limited screen space. But both the actors steal the spotlight in their concluding arguments, leaving you mindblown. Though Akshay-Arshad’s drama is delightful, Saurabh Shukla stuns in his role as Judge Sunder Lal Tripathi. From the moment he makes his entry to when he passes the final verdict, he nails his character arc.
Jolly LLB 3‘s supporting cast includes Gajraj Rao as Haribhai Khaitan, Huma Qureshi as Mishra’s wife, Amrita Rao as Tyagi’s wife, and Seema Biswas as Janki Rajaram Solanki. All of them are brilliant in their respective roles, elevating the film’s plot. Have you only seen Gajraj play sweet, slice-of-life roles? Then you must see him play the villain in Jolly LLB 3 for a pleasant surprise. Contrary to this, if you remember Seema as the evil stepmother in Vivah, you’ll love her as Janki in Jolly LLB 3. Her grit and courage as a marginalised farmer might leave you in tears. Huma and Amrita maintain their characters’ playful energy while being supportive wives.
Jolly LLB 3 is now running in theatres.
