Off-site shows by Amit Aggarwal, Suneet Varma and Tarun Tahiliani
India Couture Week 2019 will begin with off-site shows by two renowned couturiers – Suneet Varma and Amit Aggarwal. While the two will open the week with shows on July 22 and 23, the closing act will be all about Tarun Tahiliani.
Talking about the unique presentation, FDCI President Sunil Sethi said, “The three designers will offer a new perspective to design through their rich offerings which display the mindset of new-age occasion dressing. We hope to cross new milestones by enabling futuristic thinking as influential storytellers curate culturally significant ensembles.”

Re-defining luxury at India Couture Week 2019
This year, India Couture Week is all about adding functionality to decadence. “Ten designers will create new spectrums for design, making each showcasing a valued experience,” Sethi says. “Each of these has a signature which will be elevated with skilled artisans. We hope to make ICW 2019 a vehicle for communicating avant- garde with an Indian touch.”
We’re excited about these collections, aren’t you? Well, don’t jump off your seats just yet. Because the rest of the line-up for ICW this year is just as spectacular. Pankaj and Nidhi will be giving their signature elements of surface ornamentation, embroidery and traditional appliqué a fresh new spin for their first ever stint at ICW. Rahul Mishra will be combining his childhood with his recent travels to Monaco to showcase a delightful fusion. The diversity in fashion for the entire week will be off the charts. From Monaco, we’ll be heading to Jaipur with Falguni and Shane Peacock and to a contemporary collection by Gaurav Gupta.
