A new year, a new budget. I hope. I need some drastic changes to be announced in Budget 2025, bachche. And I know you do too. Income tax de de kar thak chuke hain hum. There needs to be some wealth creation and some fun and games for us also. Why do the good things have to be so expensive? Why can’t we get 10,000 ki cheez in 1,000? Why do I need to work to earn money? Why can’t we retire when we want to? 10-20 saal kaam kar liya, bas that’s enough. Here’s what we all need from Nirmala Sitharaman ji this year.

Zero income tax in Budget 2025

This should come as no surprise, it is a universal demand. Anyone who has filed their taxes has felt the dukh dard peeda of watching their money fly away. Toh sun lo na ab sabki. Khatam karo yeh income tax ka keher. If you scrap income tax, Nirmala ji, no one will leave India to work in any other country. No brain drain, full-speed progress of the nation, overall munaafa hi munaafa. It is a win-win.

Better interest rate on PPF (mazaak bana hua hai)

Why should I lock my money for 15 years when the interest rate is less than that of an FD? Please explain. Yes, I know PPF is tax-free etc, etc. But I still have to wait 15 years to take advantage of this tax benefit. What about now? I would like to see my money growing like the layers of mitti on my dining table if it is not dusted for two days.

Investment rewards in Budget 2025

I don’t mean good interest rates and well-timed investments. I mean a proper reward system for investors in the stock market. Like a cash prize for not selling in a panic when the market goes upar-neeche like my moods. 50,000 cash prize for staying invested for six months, 1 lakh for a year, 2 lakh for 2 years, and…you get my gist. This way, market mein paisa bhi jaata rahega and we can still give some tax (1% of annual income) to the gormint without any complaints.

Extra, extra tax on haters

Anyone who discriminates or hates on people for no decent reason needs to be taxed heavily. Matlab 75% of annual income for 10 years. Only then will this menace stop in our country. No one cares about going to jail it seems. They only care about money and kitna nuksaan ho jayega. So, this should be the best deterrent against mindless hate.
