Body-shaming is one of the most common evils in Indian homes. And bachche, if you fat-shame your family members even in 2025, shame on you! Matlab itni giri hui intellect hai aapki that you think it’s okay to comment on someone’s body? Listen to this girl’s story about how she was body-shamed by her own parents. All I want to do is ask the parents – what did you achieve by taunting your daughter about her body? You’re supposed to be looking after her, not hiding food from her. If you think your child is unhealthy, you take them to a doctor and get tests done. And if they’re healthy and active, you let your child be a child. You let them snack like all other kids. You don’t tell them to wear loose clothes to hide their size! Absolutely rubbish parents, I say.
After taunting their children all their life instead of supporting them, parents then wonder why their adult children are in therapy. Kuchh toh ilaaj karna padega na to treat all the trauma you put your kids through. Do better…or don’t have children please.
