Maddock Films has finally dropped the trailer of the Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi starrer Bhool Chuk Maaf. Directed by Karan Sharma, the film is set to be released on May 9, 2025. When Rajkummar Rao stars in a comedy movie, we know it’s going to be a laughter riot for us, and the trailer just proves that.

The Haldi ceremony that never ends

The trailer of Bhool Chuk Maaf opens with a seemingly simple demand: Titli’s (Wamiqa Gabbi) father insists that Ranjan (Rajkummar Rao) must secure a government job within two months if he wants to marry his daughter. And just like that, the pressure is on. From bribing Mahadev to setting all sorts of jugaad, he finally becomes a sarkaari babu. And just when it looks like things are finally falling into place, fate throws in a wicked twist.

The wedding is set for the 30th, the families are ready, and the haldi ceremony is in full swing. But Ranjan wakes up the next morning… to the same day. Again and again. Caught in a bizarre time loop, he’s forced to relive his haldi ceremony endlessly, with no sign of ever reaching the mandap. Will Ranjan find a way out of this maddening cycle? Or will he be stuck in pre-wedding limbo forever?

From the first few frames, Bhool Chuk Maaf promises to be an absolute laugh riot. Rajkummar Rao is in top comic form. Add to that a stellar supporting cast, including Seema Pahwa and Kumud Mishra, and you’re in for a delightful blend of chaos, comedy, and emotion.

With a fresh twist on the classic wedding tale and a healthy dose of satire on societal expectations, this film looks set to be a fun ride to a wedding that just won’t happen… yet.
