Why burst crackers when you can go ‘thain thain‘? Remember the UP Police cop who shouted ‘thain thain‘ to scare away criminals when his revolver jammed? Now, you can do the same thing but in less dangerous circumstances. The Wander Bottle is hosting an event in Connaught Place, New Delhi, to promote and celebrate an eco-friendly Diwali. Instead of bursting firecrackers, this event calls on Delhiites to gather in CP at 5pm on November 4th to loudly shout the bravery chant of the month – ‘thain thain‘.
Since it won’t get old anytime soon, here’s the video of the cop to inspire you to attend this event.
#WATCH: Police personnel shouts ‘thain thain’ to scare criminals during an encounter in Sambhal after his revolver got jammed. ASP says, ‘words like ‘maaro & ghero’ are said to create mental pressure on criminals. Cartridges being stuck in revolver is a technical fault’. (12.10) pic.twitter.com/NKyEnPZukh

We tried, and we can’t think of a more fun way to celebrate Diwali this year. It’s on a Sunday, folks. And the weather’s only getting better. So be there!
