5 Toning Exercises for Impeccable Arms

Here are some easy exercises to get strong, toned arms that can be done at the comfort of your space. No heavy duty equipment required.

1. Chair Sit Ups (Dips)

  • Step 1: Place your hands on either side of the chair, as you naturally would if you sat on it
  • Step 2: Place your feet about five steps further from the chair so that they are diagonal to the floor
  • Step 3: Dip your body low so that you feel the pressure in your upper arms
  • Step 4: Push your body up in the original position
  • Step 5: Repeat three times in sets of three

2. Bending Side Dumbbell

  • Step 1: Bend over and place your hand on a chair or any flat surface of the same level
  • Step 2: Pick up a dumbbell of a suitable weight with your other hand so that it is parallel to the ground
  • Step 3: Raise the dumbbell up to your chest in the same position, hold and then bring it down
  • Step 4: Repeat three times in sets of three

3. Full Bicep Curl/3 Circuits

5. Windmill

It is a perfect exercise for those who wish to combine toning of legs and arms. Stand straight with your legs outstretched. Push your hips into a side squat position, and grab a dumbbell with the left hand. Bend on one side. Continue to do this on both sides. Repeating the exercise by switching to either side will create a perfect balance for both your arms.
