Make way for some cold, brutal months as all that summertime sunshine is starting to cast a shadow that’s likely to stay on for a couple of months. As daunting as that sounds, this doesn’t exactly mean that it’s time to stack your summer favourites away for next year. You could maybe, just maybe, work your summer clothes this winter. All you need is a little help.

Celebrate style and up your fashion quotient with us as we bring you the best in Fashion this September from your favorite fashion bloggers on Instagram.

1. Wear your summer dress over a long-sleeved button up

If the temperatures aren’t soaring anymore, you could make them do just that, with your summer turned winter ensemble. Dresses always bring out the best in you, so why let those cold gusts of wind stand in the way? What if you could keep the dress without having to give up on some body warmth? All you need to do is wear an undershirt beneath your favourite summer dress. Keep the colours simple, so that you don’t overpower your look. You could also add black opaque tights for some added warmth.

2. Wear tights under your denim dress

A denim dress after summer? It might just be worth it to keep those short denim dresses out a little longer. No, you won’t find yourself frozen into a little ice cube, because we have just the right suggestion. Team up black opaque tights with your favourite denim dress, to give them a new life. You could also opt for ankle boots to perk them up. Don’t forget to wrap in the scarves, pick colourful ones to add some sunshine to your outfit.

3. Bring out the boots

Boots are quite the fashion statement. You could team these babies up with a sweater dress to keep some of that summer oomph intact. A polo neck or halter neck woollen dress works just fine as it keeps you warm and keeps it chic and stylish. You wouldn’t need too many accessories as the anchor of this outfit would have to be the boots. Pick out a nice hue and let your legs do all the talking for a change.

4. Layer Up

When you aren’t layering down, you’re layering up! What better way to embrace the winter than with some of your favourite scarves and jackets? Stock up on knits and jackets and team them with the right clothes. A well-layered outfit showcases you as ready for anything including bracing the winter onset. Don’t hold back on the beanies, scarves or jackets. Keep the colors in check, so you keep the essence of winter in mind.

5. Slip on that statement jacket

If you love your fur, then flaunt it. This is the best time to do so! Pick out a nice bright, vibrant coloured jacket, while keeping the rest of your attire simple. Look how this dress does more than just keep the cold at bay.
