Tired of your lipstick fading away too quickly? When you don’t have the time to retouch your lips throughout the day, then you need a trusted 9 to 5 fix. The solution is to make your own liquid lipstick. Don’t worry, the process is a cakewalk. We’ve got three ways for you to make your own lipstick that will last longer and can be in any shade you like.

1. Mix an Old Lipstick with Beauty Cream

This beauty blogger’s liquid lipstick idea is going viral on the internet – and for a good reason. The blogger, Zohra, uses a simple method to give a new life to her old lipstick by mixing it with a face primer. “I have sooo many lipsticks that I don’t use and now I can put them to use!,” says Zohra, whose video has received over 1 million views on Instagram. Take a look.

2. Blend it in Foundation

Another Vlogger, Natalie’s Outlet, recommends making a matte liquid lipstick with a foundation and eye shadow. Take two drops of the foundation and scrape in a little eye shadow colour that you love. Then add two drops of Vitamin E and some coconut oil for moisturization. “I would recommend to add an essential oil if you would like it to smell better,” says Natalie.

3. Make Your Own Colours

Want to go fully natural? Then make your own lipstick from scratch. You will need 1 teaspoon each Vaseline or Beeswax, coconut oil, Shea butter, and 1/4 teaspoon Bentonite clay (get it here). For colours, you can either use a pinch of beetroot powder for red or organic cocoa powder for brown shade. Melt the Beeswax with oil and Shea butter and add in your desired colour. After mixing them thoroughly, add in the clay to give it a matte finish. See the entire steps here.
